Job Openings:

Cook:
Fast paced, progressive environment, line and head cooks needed. Focus on grill/flattop, veggie and meat prep, and kitchen cleanliness. Fun job and a great work environment, but also very demanding. Lakeside bar and grill, work with a view! Must be quick on their feet, able to handle large quantities of orders, and adhere to strict cleanliness policies.

Server:
The person who will succeed in filling this position will be able to kid like Kate McKinnon, crack jokes like Will Farrell, have reflexes like a frog, and the ability to write down orders correctly while putting on a show at the same time. Must bring a winning mentality and wear your multi task t-shirt everyday! Bring personality and speed to this job and it's yours! Job tasks include bartending, serving, changing of kegs, hype person, friend to customers, draft dealer, scream scooper, and last but not least the face of the Buoy Bar and Grill!

Buoy Hand:
This position involves many different key tasks in allowing the Buoy Bar and Grill to stay afloat. Front and back of the house work environment. Direct contact with customers, food server, food builder, etc. Job tasks include: taking orders, writing tickets, running till, building sandwiches, docking boats, packaging orders, and most importantly customer service. No pervious kitchen experience needed, history around boats beneficial but not necessary. This is a great first time position for a fun summertime job.

Buoy Dock Hand:
This position involves catching and pushing out our boat rental clients at the end of the 3rd street docks. Sometimes you will be expected to park the rental boats when the clients are done, as well as fill the boat with gas at the fuel dock. Knowing how to drive a boat is preferable but not necessary. You will be expected to learn to park boats in slips as well as launching boats into the water from their trailer without inflicting any damage. You will be expected to pass buoy food to customers that order food to go at the 3rd street docks. You will catch their boat, hand them their food, and push them away from the dock so they can enjoy the rest of their day on the water!

Buoy Barista:
Have Barista experience? Looking to switch it up for the summer? We've got a couple of Barista positions available for a new project the Buoy will be launching this summer. Previous coffee experience and a great attitude is mandatory. Potential to help with menu creation, specials, and workspace layout.

Boat Driver/WakeSurf Instructor:
This is our water sports side of the business, the basis of the Buoy that has been in operation for 10 years. Buoy Boardin', brought to you by Hayden Wake, takes tourists and locals out on CDA Lake to enjoy lake activities and have some fun in the sun; which includes... wakeboarding, water skiing, and wakesurfing. If you have any experience driving boats on the lake, this could be the perfect job for you. This job is a great fit for someone that has an out going personality and enjoys interacting with people. Job bonus: You get to take people by the floating food truck to snag lunch. Stoke is an all time high when this happens!

Marketing & Media Internship
New for this summer is our media internship program, we are looking for a couple motivated interns with interest in learning digital marketing and media creation. Be a part of creating content like this. Start to finish you'll be involved in photo/video shoots, post production, product/content launches, and advertising strategies. Along with working on the larger projects you will be responsible for daily social media marketing as well as various other marketing tasks. Access to high end photo/video gear and editing equipment included. If you have any desire to get into digital marketing or media creation this is a great way to learn the process in a progressive, fun environment!

Phone Coordinator/Scheduling Ninja:
Got a knack for talking on the phone, closing deals, and packing a schedule? This is the position for you. Organizational skills, sales tactics, basic level boat knowledge, and a great attitude are essential to this role. Must be a self starter and confident on the phone. Role will consist of fielding boat rental and wakeboard lessons calls, creating/updating the Buoy fleet's schedule, and coordinating boat related employees. Part, full time, and off site work available.
